The Company:
A multi-national Tier 1 Consumer Packaged Goods manufacturer. The product
is a hot beverage that is commonly shared between friends and family. The
Activation program was developed and executed for the client by Venture Communications
Toronto.
The Challenge:
To develop a premium incentive giveaway that would engage retail customers
and drive secondary display sales at store level, while also communicating
key brand messaging.
To maximize budget efficiencies while promoting a high perceived added value
in every pack.
To provide an increased value perception between the two skus, encouraging
purchase of the larger sku.
To track redemptions by product, by sku.
The Solution:
Including a calling card in each package provided the incentive for consumer
purchase. The offer fit perfectly within brand positioning providing a tangible
way for the consumer to stay connected to friends and family.
Two card values were established, (25 minutes) for the smaller pack size,
and (50 minutes) for the larger pack size.
Cards were activated and redeemed by phone or online. Budget impact to client
was only on cards activated prior to promo deadline. After the program closed,
all unredeemed cards were considered deactivated.
The Results:
Client was happy with the results, as the cards were very attractive to the
consumer.
21% of all cards were redeemed = 107,356 cards.
50-minute cards were the most popular, with a success rate average of 21.73%.
Client saved over $80,000 using the ReAct program and was able to offer more
minutes of calling per card.
