Prior to ReAct technology, clients would typically purchase a large supply
of custom promotional phone cards and distribute them to their target group.
As with all promotional items, recipients perceive the gift along the satisfaction
continuum of very valuable to not valuable. Regardless of recipient
perception, the client paid for all the premiums distributed.
With ReAct, the client only pays for the promotional phone cards that are
activated by the recipients, plus printing costs. In a recent promotion for
a large consumer products company, a custom prepaid phone card was included
in each product package offered for sale. The campaign was set for seven months
and within that time period, consumers could activate their phone card on-line
or by telephone. The results were sent to a secure, private web site so that
the client could monitor the activations in real time.
Of the over 500,000 phone cards included in the product packages, only 21%
were activated. The client was not obligated to pay for the remaining 79%
-- Now, that's cost effective!
